crispy herb croutons

- 1 french baguette cubed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 clove of garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon of each thym, rosemary, parsley and chives
- 3 tablespoons of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
Whether you're garnishing a salad, a soup or if you're looking for a great snack these croutons will definitely do the trick! They are crispy and flavourful, I like to make a batch and keep them in an air tight container in the freezer until I need them.
preparationIn a skillet on medium to high heat warm your olive oil and butter. Add in the herbs and garlic. Cook for one minute. Then add in the bread cubes and reduce the heat to medium to low and cook until golden brown. Making sure to toss them around in the pan. Turn off the heat and toss in the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. Cool and transfer into an air tight container.
