10 MINUTE CRAB DIP
This recipe takes less than 10 minutes to make but the flavors are out of this world! The recipe came about because I was looking for an emergency appetizer to make when I was having a lobster bake. Serve the dip warm, with tortilla chips or Naan bread. Its perfect with a glass of white wine while you and your guests are waiting for the main to be cooked!
ingredients
- 650g fresh crab meat, goberge, or simili crab meat thinly shredded
 - 1/4 cup butter
 - 6 green onions finely chopped
 - 2 cloves of garlic finely chopped
 - 1/2 cup parsley chopped
 - 1 cup gruyere cheese grated
 - 1/2 cup parmigiano reggiano grated
 - 1/4 cup 35% cooking cream
 - 1/4 cup chicken stock
 - 1 tsp ground pepper
 - 1/4 cup sour cream

preparation
In a skillet on medium high heat melt the butter and add in the green onions and the garlic. Add in the crab meat and cook for 5-7 minutes. Add in the cream, chicken stock, pepper, cheeses and cook until completely melted and incorporated. Cook for an additional 5 minutes on high heat or until reduced to a dip texture. Remove from the heat and add in 1/4 sour cream.
Place into an oven safe bowl and keep warm until you are ready to serve it. Sprinkle the top with some extra green onion cut on a diagonal and a sprinkle of paprika.
